Santa Fe district attorney responds to exclusive Alec Baldwin interview l GMA

Baldwin says he was following Halyna Hutchins' directions during a rehearsal and never pulled the trigger as the FBI examines the gun and the ballistics to see if they back up Baldwin's story.

There are 4 main rules of firearm safety
1) Treat every firearm as if it is loaded, always check it yourself.
2) Never point a gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.
3) Make sure of your target and what is beyond it
4) Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
Alec Baldwin broke every single one of these rules sure I don’t believe for one minute that intended to hurt or kill anyone but through his negligence one person is dead and another wounded.

Alec that was a performance worthy of an academy award!! I spent 10 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and the first thing that we were taught was to check our weapons as soon as we took possession of them, particularly if we were told they were unloaded. How can the DA say that this was "clearly an accident"? At this point it is far too early to make that statement, especially on an open investigation.

Its inappropriate for the DA to comment and then to say that " you can see he feels horrible and devastated, " or words to that effect. She wouldn't say that about a conservative celebrity or a regular citizen. Just weird and unprofessional. Covering for him.

Since when does a prosecutor make a determination that this was "not intentional" before her team completes the actual investigation.... In my country, prosecutors don't make pronouncements on TV and remain silent until they are ready to charge/prosecute . This lady is incompetent but seeking to get glory on TV and is compromising her own investigative team.

How would the attorney general of New Mexico determine that the killing was an accident before finding out?
There was clear negligence in omitting medical support while working in remote location.

The actor appears intoxicated and incoherent as he did before in prior altercations with the law.

Pointing and shooting a gun cannot be an accident. The gun does not carry itself and does not point itself and does not load itself.

The crime is clear entrapment of a victim in remote location and killing her without giving her slightest chance to get medical help.
