I ... I think I GET IT now. The first time I watched this I was overwhelmed. Then I rewatched some time later and I feel like I leveled up. Where was this info when I was at art school as a youngster? Professors were giving only directives, like do this and this. But NEVER explained why.

This video just got me really excited. For a while now I've become more aware of the different colors in shadows and such, especially in many paintings by artists I look up to. However I didn't really get the theory behind it and it left me a little frustrated whenever another painting of mine failed because I couldn't get a grasp of how this all worked. But now!! I'm just so so excited to go and paint, to put all this theory into practice! Thank you for this wonderful video, I can already say that it helped me lots in understanding light and color :)
