I'm on the third year of my Fine Arts degree, and you're the teacher I've never had. Seriously, I learn more with your videos than I did in three years of fine arts university.

Bucci is one of the highest quality art teachers on the net. The way he masterfully compresses huge amount of complex knowledge to its most basic essence is breathtaking.

never thought of the light is pulling the local color toward the light color, literally blow my mind

"I don't have to literally make the colors blue, as long as they're going that way on their journey through the color wheel, i can pick a wide variety of cooler colors here" something about color theory never really clicked until I heard it phrased like that- his whole egg study segment felt like actual understanding! where as so many color theory youtube videos simply exposit the same definitions about value and color and all that without actually giving practical advice about how to use it in practice- this was a very comprehensive start to understanding!

The best color wheel in any software should come with Marco's tooltips

This video was SO incredibly informative-- I have it saved so I already plan on returning to it often. But I can't help but feel a bit overwhelmed by all the information )'': I know mastering this stuff takes time and practice, but I just completed a piece for my art account and now I'm looking at it like "oh god, I think the colors are way off considering my light source" LOL! But hey, I'll keep practicing! Thank you so much to Marco Bucci for this!

It took me ages to learn this haha. I learned it via Sam Nielsons course and just tonnes of sphere tests. A nice analogy for anyone who might not get it is to think of the colours as magnets. The more saturated the light or object, the more it will 'pull' towards (creating the resulting colour). So a bright red won't be affect so much by a grey (warm) light source and it will retain its local colour. Then you just adjust the brightness based on the light source strength. Hope this helps :)

I just finished watching Marco's two videos on ambient occlusion. Then THIS video pops up when I take a break from working on a new art piece, one that's been a total struggle to paint in terms of color and light. Proko's video topics are really next level.

I love Marco's content. He is always sharing useful information that allows you to see things in a new way. I think watching his videos has made me break a few plateaus already, especially when it comes to coloring.
