This video, has single handedly given me a feel I hadn't had before. I've been working with a pro for a bit over a year now, and we've been attempting to get my takeaway less inside, and shortened. I watched this video, took it to the range, and was absolutely stunned by how well it has worked. It's now allowed me to not even THINK about my takeaway, and made it very much on plane; it's also allowed me to really FEEL when I'm getting to long or dumped over the top in my backswing. Took it to the course this morning, and it was brilliant. I've said it once, and I'll continue to say it - You provide hands down the best instructional content on this platform. Next time I'm in Florida, I will absolutely have to schedule a lesson with you if possible.... Thank you!!!!

This is the simple drill I have been looking for to get my body to start the downswing while creating lag and compressing the ball with solid shaft lean. I will be doing this drill regularly moving forward

Another excellent video . Another way to describe the float load move (fabulous drill for proper sequencing) would be loading front foot into the slot position by floating the lower body- the whole sequence being known as the transition move.

One of my favorite drills in that, like the Dr Kwon drills and rope swings, intsead of teaching you movements you need to think about in the swing, it trains your body to recognize the right feels and motions. I hit irons this way very effectively out on the course for a while, but wanted more distance from a fuller swing. On the range, with flat lies and perfect footing, the longer swing does give me more distance, but this shorter swing feels like less room to get off plane, so maybe I'll go back to it for uneven lies and stances.

If y’all haven’t heard of a former professional golfer, named Allen Doyle, this was his entire golf swing. That half swing drill…was his ENTIRE golf swing. He won 23 amateur events, 19 professional events (including FOUR senior major championships), and over $15 million. All after the age of 47. I’m not disagreeing with Eric, but this can be ANY golfer’s full swing. Doesn’t need to be just a drill. The longer a swing gets…doesn’t necessarily mean more speed or power, but certainly means more can go wrong. I’ve been playing for 40 years, I’ve studied them all. Allen Doyle and Doug Sanders, are the players I decided to model my movements after. I’ve got a 1.8 handicap, driver average is about 270, and I spend most of my day in the fairway. Remember, when it comes to a complicated game like golf, less can actually be more. Great video!👍

Came across this a few days ago. Driving and short game were solid, but mid-irons and fairway woods were erratic, mostly from not keeping my left arm straight. Also I'm not good at moving forward at the start of my downswing. Took the float load to the range and was immediately impressed. Hell, I even used it on the course and hit more greens in reg than I have in a long time. Respect.

I have been playing golf for 1.5 years now and have steadily dropped to a 19.1 handicap. However, no matter how many videos I watched on YouTube, I was never capable of hitting a draw. Until this move. Thank you for this video. I am sure it will help me move towards the next phase in my golf development. Kind regards

This was an amazing video to come across! I've had some serious issues with early extension and a minor shift in the initial takeaway. After watching this video, I immediately went out to my matt to get some dry swings in and I felt a difference instantly. I'm a fairly long hitter, but I've never had the consistent ball striking I've been searching for. I went to the course about an hour after the dry runs of your drill to warm up on the range and hit the course. I liked your drill so much, I've basically made it my swing, but instead of pausing halfway back, I keep a nice tempo and really feel the coil. It was my best day on the course in terms of ball striking, now I need to work on my chipping. lol Anyways, thank you for the help! I'm about to look through your content for more gems like this one!

Eric this was a great drill. I have been struggling big time lately. Hit 20 balls today using this drill and once I got the hang of it I am hitting the ball so much better, with much less effort. Thabks

I picked up at least 10 yards with every iron in the bag today using this drill on the range today, then for a short practice 9 holes in the evening. Such an amazing drill. Everything felt 50% of my normal backswing. Eric, we need the adjustments on how you take this pivot feeling or changes with this feeling to the driver. One of your best video's buddy, great stuff.

Excellent! Reminds me of Leadbetter "pump and go drill. " Takes some conscious thought out of it.

I’ve watched Eric’s videos for quite a while. For some reason, I cheat on him and my eye wanders to others on YT 😂…but I always come back because of videos like this. This was a great one

normally i try to pause at the top for a second to slow down the motion (stop overpacing the swing)
cant wait to try this motion instead next time at the range
