It was considered impossible, but it turned out to be - in fact - impossible

I've summited 7 times from the comfort of my home thanks to YouTube. No jacket or supplemental oxygen required.

Better to be HOME, wishing you were there.. than to be THERE wishing you were home .

They claim to climb for the love of the mountains. Meanwhile, they littering it with trash and bodies. Yeah, real love right there.

When the sherpas tell you not to do it....don't do it

Why do people continue to be surprised or think dying on Everest is a tragedy? It should be expected. If you decide to climb Everest, your expectation should be that there's a very good chance you are dying up there.

Old climbers and bold climbers but few old bold climbers.
They must have loved it, the challenges, the beauty.

People are probably saying, "at least they died doing what they loved." Please. What a waste.

People define "tragedy" differently...no one kidnapped them and dragged them there...they were exactly where they wanted to be doing what they wanted to be doing

Tasker and Boardman were superb climbers and it was a real tragedy to lose them. Total respect to them.

Note to self, "Never climb to the top of Everest. Don't ever try."

Look how many people who
summited Mt Everest already!
Not too mention how many that died climibing Mt Everest!
My question is, what is the point for this insanity?

Just admire the mountains and respect them and stop being jealous and trying too conquer something that you had nothing too do with it's Creation 😢

Remember when you’re feeling untouchable that these men were once a very dedicated duo who thought could conquer the world

Experienced climbers, with supplemental oxygen and the most detailed preparation have perished on Everest. It was beyond irresponsible to have tried that without carrying oxygen. Especially knowing they had a reason to want to mitigate all the factors that could lead to them not coming back. They had a child!
