Peter Capaldi telling us to subscribe is scarier than most episodes

Here after watching "Arachnids in the UK". Why is it that every modern doctor who episode featuring giant spiders turns out so horrible

Completely forgot about the writing of Courtney in this.

A kid discovers a spaceship disguised as a phone box that's bigger on the inside and she's gets bored. HOW?

Apparently this is when Peter Capaldi first felt like the Doctor, as in the way he always knew it as a kid with the way effects were done back then. He was told to fight a rubber spider that does nothing as you see in this clip, he asked where's the operator and was told there is none, just fight it.

Its a shame, I really liked the premise of the episode, the spiders were horrifying, I just hated the third quarters of the episode, they should have just kept it to the spiders being the monster of the episode, would have had a much better pay off.

"There's no water on the moon!"

There's no water on Mars, either... except for... Well, we all know how THAT turned out...

This episode was really good up until the egg nonsense began. Please can a future episode or something in the expanded universe subtly cancel out the events of this episode?

The last time he fought space spiders, he ended up regenerating into Tom Baker.

You know what annoys me most about this episode? Even more than the Moon being an egg (!!!) and there being apparently no consequences on the Earth for the Moon suddenly 'hatching' and being gone for a while (they're on the coast when the creature hatches, and there are no changes whatsoever) or anything like that? It's when the astronaut woman is talking about the consequences of letting the creature hatch and having billions of tons of rock crash into the Earth (which never happens anyway, apparently because of magic) and Clara just says 'But it's only eggshell!' Yes, Clara. The Moon is made of eggshell. No matter that we know it's made of rock, or that you can, you know, see it and it blatantly isn't made of the same stuff that covers an egg, but you're right, it's eggshell. And this is our longest running companion...

I think I'm the opposite of everyone else, I loved this episode. I like how you can see Clara getting angrier and angrier at The a Doctor throughout the ep

You try to stay optimistic about Peter Capaldi, but then you realise he was handed this abomination of a script...

I find it hard to dislike anything about doctor who tbh, I couldn't care if the episode wasn't great, I just love Doctor Who whatever happens... I guess I just fanboy too hard, or after 10 years of watching, I wait too long between series and crave every moment of a new episode.

Some of the imagery on this episode was absolutely gorgeous. What was going on with the plot though? I can forgive them. Awesome show! Looking forward to the next series !!! XD

This should have been a two-parter. Felt awfully rushed.

I loved the on the moon scenes. My high school class got to analyze this episode, but my friends laughed at the part where they're called "bacteria", because of how huge they were. I guess they sorta got a bad first impression. As a Whovian, you just gotta sometimes throw science out the window to enjoy an episode.
