I have both of them but my PS4 is slim and it used to become hotter than fire but PS5 always stays cool !

scan the temperatures from the back, its alot more accurate

also you just scanned the PS5 plates so the temperature is definitely way higher than 85 degrees

Do a deep clean of the ps4 a full teardown it made my ps4 completely silent and temps are extremely good

Little known fact, if you put your ps4 in an open area insead of a cramped shelf, and clean it regularly, it will be cool and quiet.

I would like to see this test agan with a new PS4 to see of there are some real difference when the are new out of the box.
PS4 has a bad reputation when it comes to this but i think this mat happen in the future with our PS5’s too
