As seen in the movie "Logan", Wolverine's healing factor isn't working like it used to, and his once-prized adamantium skeleton is now poisoning him. This shouldn't be possible, so what's causing the once unbreakable Wolverine to now waste away?

I like this explanation better to be honest. Having Logan's drinking be what ultimately kills him, it would also explain why he is getting adimantium poisoning now instead of earlier. It's because Logan's healing Factor is being suppressed and now the adimantium poisoning is finally taking effect.

That's actually brilliant and I think Logan is no idiot cause as we see in the Movie, Logan is in a pretty dark place mentally and he's had to watch everyone he's considered to be friends die. It wouldn't be surprising if he's intentionally poisoning himself.

The distillation process would likely remove most of those suppressors if not the aging process and keep in mind most whiskey would have at least a 5 year delay because of aging even if this was true.

On the other hand you doged what is actually happening the poison bones. His body is constantly fighting poison and that slows down his healing.
