How to speak in tongues (pray in tongues)

In this video I will walk you through the three steps that it takes to start speaking in tongues. Speaking (or praying) in tongues is a powerful weapon against the enemy. It is a gift that comes with the Holy Spirit and it gives us the ability to pray beyond our understanding (1 Corinthians 14:15).

I just want to say I prayed in tongues! 😅 Today was a trip! I got frustrated watching all these videos about speaking in tongues and hearing different opinions. This video was the last one i watched. Frustrated, i honestly prayed to God and incorporated that pray you had about asking to be baptized by the spirit. I kid you not after pouring my heart out in prayer, I opened my mouth in faith praying in syllables and IM NOT LYING. God filled my mouth with a language. I am the biggest overthinker, and i just let go and trusted, and it just kept on going. My mind was clear when I was doing it. I was not thinking of the next word to say at all. 😅😅😅😅 I've been trying since I was a kid. I thought it wouldn't happen for me 😭🥲🙇🏾‍♀️💖🙏🏾 Im in awe. So next step is for me to learn how to keep this

I closed my eyes and exactly how I would start any prayer session, I suddenly knew word for word “our father”. And I said the prayer in my head with full confidence. Ironic too as I was very beat up over not being able to remember and recite a single thing from these prayers. And suddenly I knew our father word for word. There’s jibberish too but not very much and I can’t tell if it’s being forced or coming naturally. I’ve been following god for almost 2 years now and he is showing me his light in very extraordinary ways at this point in time. I can’t say I’m speaking in tongues yet, but I’m well on my way to reciting they prayers I say daily. So crazy how a switch can be turned on by god and suddenly you have knowledge.

The day I was baptized in the Holy Spirit by you I had no idea what I was in for that day nor did I know the Holy Spirit like I do now and I feel the presence of the Holy Spirit at times especially when the father speaks directly to me to relay a message to someone or I feel somebody else’s heart pouring out in pain or crying out to our father. I felt a very small part of the power of the Holy Spirit come upon me and uncontrollable emotions and tears kept flowing from my eyes the best way I can describe it was feeling a very heavy weight lifted off of me and incredibly hot as I spoke in tongues. #mylovelanguage

When i first ended up speaking in tongues, i wasn't praying to i was simply praying that i be filled with the Holy Spirit.
As i fervently prayed the Lord answered my prayer anf filled me with rhe Spirit. The pastor then told me to surrender ny tongue to the Holy Spirit.
I opened my mouth and started relaxing my tongue as a way of surrendering it. After a few seconds i felt the Holy Spirit seize control of my tongue and i began to fluently speak in this spiritual language. The first i knew i was speaking in it was that i heard myself.
The Holy Spirit baptism is how rhe Spirit is recieved. So you don't pray to speak in tongues you pray for the Holy Spirit baptism and speaking in " tongues" is supernaturally confirmation that you have recieved.
