I received this gift on Sunday after I was praying a normal daily prayer. It was in my bedroom. I first heard my soul or spirit speaking it but I tried falling back to sleep. I kept hearing it in my head, so I just told God, "I receive it." After I said that, He said, "I am coming ready". Then I began uttering and all of a sudden, I started praising God and speaking in tongues. I didn't know what I was saying, I just let the holy Ghost speak through me.

Okay this is what I know about tongues: Scripture says "as the Holy Spirit gives utterance". Tongues is an actual language that comes out when the Holy Spirit causes it to come. It'sa legit structured language. The experience matches scripture which says- like a fountain- up from your innermost being.

It's not when we babble incoherently duhdeduhdeduh.

The Holy Spirit doesn't babble.

I've experienced Tongues and it is ALWAYS a language. It always has structure even if it's unknown language to me.

And As scripture says ...
1) "Tongues of men"
(meaning your own language, or other human languages).
2) "Tongues of Angels"
(meaning an angelic language that neither you, nor any man knows. Only angels know it. )

And in both cases the Bible gives you these 2 details ...

1st) up like a fountain from your innermost being - your midst.

2nd) your mind is not fruitful, meaning that it doesn't come from your thoughts or your knowledge or your brain or your ideas.

When the LEGIT Tongues happens, you may or may not immediately know what it says if it's an unknown human or angelic language. But you'll notice that your voice is working independently from your brain/ mind/ thoughts. Your mind is totally unconnected to your tongue, BUT your mind is still totally cognizant and alert/aware and functional - it's just that thr message in tongues is not originated from your mind. You will have the distinct sense that your words are coming from your spirit, regardless of whether they are human ot angelic language.

Your mind can go on working with it's normal thinking totally independently, but it's disconnected from your voice and you can absolutely notice that. Your voice is uttering what the Spirit wants to say. It bypasses your mind.

The Spirit may or may not allow you to hear the interpretation in your own language if it's an unknown language to you. But whichever person(s) or spirit(s) are being spoken to by God through the Holy Spirit in you, they won't need the interpretation.

But the "mind not being fruitful" only means the words didn't come from your mind.

If you're babbling, sure, you can do that everyday, but that is not legitimate tongues. And calling it surrendered sounds doesn't make it come from the Holy Spirit. God isn't obligated as far as I know to "bless your babble" even if you pretend you're making "surrendered sounds".

Any tongue you don't have an interpretation for, your not to speak per the scripture.

The Gift of Tongues is real. It's so real. I received the gift of Tongues when I was 8 year's old and I am 62 years old and I am still following Jesus. He has been so good to me. This gift is amazing. When I received it the holy spirit and the gift of Tongues...when I opened my eyes all I could see is...
L O V E.
And I hugged the pastor and all the saints that were there also receiving this gift from Jesus. And I still feel that holy spirit like I got it last night. It is alive in me. It's just another way to build that relationship with Jesus on a personalized level of love and it's righteousness.
Folks what are you waiting for? Jesus is going to see you through this earthly life. You are so great just the way you are. Let Jesus love you. Let Jesus in your heart, your life and the best is yet to come. ❤
