What is speaking in tongues exactly? How should speaking in tongues be used in the church? Should every Christian speak in tongues? In this video, I answer these questions and more. thank you Daniel. you have cleared my doubts about speaking in tongues because the church I attended said I must speak in tongues or else I'm not a true believer. and the Holy Spirit is not in me .that broke my heart and I felt unworthy. after 20 years today I heard your message and I have been set free .I'm so blessed from the day I came across your video .now I'm 60 years old and learning the truth of Gods word from a young man .truly you are God sent to teach the word.

Focus on Jesus Christ! That's correct! Only Jesus matters. His love and mercy and kindness we must follow and must show in our personal life. If we fail to imitate Jesus, even If we claim to be speaking in tongues, we are not truly filled with the spirit and are empty inside.

I was told by one church member, God doesn't answer prayers unless spoken in tongues. I told her, Christ told us how to pray, He didn't mentioned speaking in tongues. She refused what I said.

I haven't watched this video in quite awhile but I know what he generally says and I will answer that for everyone to prove he is wrong. After that, you people can ask any questions you wish. First: He acts as if tongues still exist. They do NOT exist. Paul said they would CEASE and they did; 2000 years ago. He thinks there are two kinds of tongues. WRONG. Now I'll prove both problems with the same answer. Read 1cor14:21-22. Paul says, "IN THE LAW". THAT is the OLD testament. Then Paul quotes Isaiah 28:11 - 12. This is the ONLY verse that tells you what tongues were for, and to whom they were for, and WHY. God says that HE will speak to "THIS PEOPLE". That is the Jewish nation of Israel. God will speak by means of using the "Men of other lips" meaning their language. It was the Assyrians, in the time of Isaiah. This is why Paul quotes Isaiah. This is the ONLY example in the bible as to what tongues were. Therefore this guy in the video is WRONG. You can not change what Paul wrote. God was going to use the Assyrians to speak to Israel because of their disobedience to God. They married into their pagan culture and followed after their gods. So God put them into captivity in 722 B.C. Tongues were a warning against Israel to repent. But they did NOT. Therefore God did it again in 586 B.C. with the Babylonians. They still did not repent. So now PAUL is warning the church at Corinth that a third time is coming. It was ROME. It was the war of 70 A.D. The Jews were scattered just like James 1: 1 says. The purpose of tongues being a warning against Israel, had been fulfilled AND THEY CEASED, just like Paul said they would. Tongues were a condemnation against Israel. This has NOTHING to do with modern times and the stupid Charismatics. The second answer is: tongues were NEVER for spreading the Gospel. Every word that God spoke is in the bible. The Gospel is the entire new testament and not just the first four books. So understand this point. Not one word of tongue speaking is EVER recorded in the bible. Therefore it is NOT for spreading the gospel. Tongues ceased with the war of 70 A.D. The bible was finished in 95 A.D. when John was writing down the book of Revelation, and released from his captivity from the island of Patmos. IF you read the book of ACTS properly, you will see that each time tongues were used, it was against the Jews. LUKE wrote the book of ACTS. Paul wrote to the Corinthians. They both went on the same journeys together. The Holy Spirit is NOT going to tell LUKE that tongues is one thing, and then tell Paul that it is something else. Jesus said that Judgement begins at Jerusalem. IT DID. IT WAS PENTECOST. All of those places listed in ACTS 2 ARE JEWISH TERRITORIES. The bible tells you that they were "DEVOUT JEWS". SO, all of these excuses people come up with as to what tongues are, are DEAD WRONG. They know nothing about Jewish history from the bible. Lastly, ask yourself this question: WHY did Paul tell THAT church at Corinth that tongues would CEASE, if it wasn't going to happen in THEIR lifetime? IT DID. Tongues ceased two years after Paul was killed. This is why Paul said not to forbid tongues. The purpose had not been fulfilled yet. The war had not started yet. So this guy in the video is dead wrong on what tongues WERE. They do not exist. They CEASED just like Paul said they would, and they do NOT spread the GOSPEL. Tongues had ONE purpose ONLY. It was a condemnation against the nation of Israel for their lifetime of disobedience to God. It has nothing to do with foolish Americans or anyone else. Everyone breaks the rules of tongue speaking because they don't exist. They do not follow God's word. Charismatics/Pentecostals have a false doctrine. "THEY will not endure sound doctrine". That verse is against them.

I rejected the speaking in tongues and mocked a lot when I was a recent christian. But 2 years later I felt like I needed to speak in tongues. So I take a time and I ask to God alone if it's come from him. I wanted this gift right now if it is come from him or I'll forget it for never ! He told me "Repent !" So I repented for mockery, false teachings, believed it comes from satan.... and
suddenly I felt something left my body (delivrance) from my mouth. I felt soooo light and free ! I was so happy and forget about why I asked to God. So I went to my bathroom take a shower and I started to worship ! Somes words comes into my mouth and I started to scream in tongues ! My tongue moved on its own. I was so happy ! It changed me a lot in my spiritual life with Christ. Start to be bold for preaching the gospel, pray for sick, delivrance, hearing his voice, patience, love, grow in him ! So when I don't know what to pray, I just pray in tongues and it's like a recharge my batteries and I'm more sensible to read the Bible, pray, etc... I can ask the interpretation and God gives me words of knowledge, of praise, and it's confirmed by the receiver. Believe the words and obey. Don't judge people like I did. Ask to him and by faith obey, and you will see his grace.

While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, Jude 1:20

So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.1 Corinthians 14:39

My only question and what I have prayed for understanding on is this: is the gift of tongues what we know as tongues today? I grew up in a pentecostal setting where many spoke in tongues but not alot of Jesus as I can remember as kid but than as an adult Jesus led me to a baptist setting where it was all about Jesus, the gospel, the grace of God, sanctification, etc but I didn't see any tongues, interpretation, miracles or the gift of healing. So i struggle mightily with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I have prayed for the gift of tongues just to understand them. But i am encouraged by what brother said here: Jesus is the House, the gifts are the shadow of the house. If we have Jesus and the gospel, saved and under His grace, we have everything. The gifts are a "bonus" I guess you can say meant for the purposes they are given. Pray believers that Jesus would give me understanding on the gift of tongues.
