Thank you for having one of what seems to be the only videos on youtube clearly differentiating and explaining the two styles!

Sport looks like a dance, hard style looks like a fight

Hard style = sprint, hardcore endocrine response, taxing the phosphocreatine system and brushing the glycolitic system.
Sport style = durability, slightly less hardcore endocrine response, balance, coordination, taxing the glycolitic system and brushing the anaerobic system.

Both have their places. Both have pros and cons. Its the 100m dash vs the 1 mile.

Been watching lots of Kettlebell technique videos and this is the first I've seen to show the Sport style. Looks worth a try.

Personally, I compete and coach kettlebell sport but it's not an "either or" situation. It's true that if you want to compete in kettlebell sport, then that most of what you will do will be sport specific. If you want to achieve a certificate in hardstyle training, then yes, you need to train in that modality. BUT it doesn't mean it's for life!! You can train and compete in kettlebell sport and add hardstyle conditioning for extra general fitness and vice versa! People like to think in black and white terms like "it's them or us, this or that" and it's not the case.
Each modality is different, has different goals. Both styles compliment each other in a way because they are the opposite of each other but have the same roots. Both have pros and cons. Just lift and enjoy your training!

as a grappler i use both for different reasons.
I do mix kettlebells Calesthenics and powerlifts as my s&c programming beside fight practice. works fine

The answer is, "IT DEPENDS"! I see the benefit of both methods and how personal fitness goals would affect which would be more beneficial. I have to admit that Brittany looks amazing! I heard her on your podcast a while back. Keep up the great content. 🤓

I find doing both styles for certain exercises is really beneficial

Hi, I did hardstyle swings for a 4-5 months completing 40, 000 reps in total. That fatigued my knee completely and my knee would click while climbing stairs. However now after taking a couple of years of break, I am back to it with more of a endurance style swing demonstrated by Brittany.. you can see the huge difference of the swings on the knee here. So choose wisely..

Excellent demonstration!!! I use both types of swings: hardstyle and kettlebell sport for the most well rounded training program possible. Power & strength / high intensity - hardstyle, and speed / efficiency & heavier weight - kettlebell sport. Both types of bells are must have training implements!

Good video. I was wondering why my back fatigues when I increase reps.

Both are best. No reason not to learn them both. Two different styles for two different goals.

Great video by the way!!👌🔥👍🔥💪

Asking which style is better hard style or sports style is the same as asking who is smarter civil engineer or chemical engineer!!!????

It is an illogical question!! Both have different characteristics and both are extremely beneficial!!!!

I like doing both. Hard style for power and sports for endurance. The sports style is also a nice way to measure progress.

Will the sport style be easier for the lower back? When I do the regular way my back hurts the next day

Great informative video as always.
I prefer hardstyle at 58 yrs. But can understand why KB enthusiasts migrate to sport for the challenge.

The swing which uses the most muscle groups to perform it is best for the average person. The more muscle involved the more efficient and functional the workout.

However; I use both swing styles to target my posterior chain in one set then up my workout efficiency and functionality of strength with the other.
