Really shocked and astonished to know that joining of junior doctors are more important than the rape and murder cases though nearly one month has passed.The junior doctors are seeing patients at Abhaya clinic and other places also have no connection in this case.Really baffled.!!

What a weird display of arrogance in the SC. with this judiciary how can we expect any justice. No question on irregularities in investigation. All it says is wait for CBi report. Very welcome ruling of the Supreme Court regarding timeline for the striking junior docs to join duty...they cannot simply be on strike for days on end while common people suffer due to lack of proper treatment. The CBI investigation is going on and people need to have some patience.

Today's (09/09/2024) SC direction:

1) CBI filed the status report and said investigation is still going on. SC directs to file a fresh status report on next hearing;

2) Regarding problems of accommodation of CISF personnel deployed in RG Kar, SC directs that one senior officer each from Home Dept, Govt of WB and CISF would sort out this issue;

3) All social media posts to remove all pics of the victim;

4) As alleged by CBI that filled-in challan necessary for handing over of body of victim for PM was not submitted to them, SC directs the Govt of WB to produce it on next hearing before the court;

5) Govt of WB to take necessary steps to build up confidence regarding safety and security of the resident drs;

6) All resident drs to resume duties on or before 10 Sep by 5 pm. Till then, the govt will not take any coercive action against them. But, after that, if it continues, SC cant hold any lawful proceeding if initiated.
