This helped me so much! I immediately prayed to God to help my understand why my ex is now in a new happy relationship after using me and breaking up with me. But this is so true, those are distractions and it's clear he wasn't a man built from God FOR ME. Now I can focus on my relationship with the Lord.

How I understand this is that they seek the peace we have in Christ. The peace they have is dependent on temporary and uncertain things, so they are always cautious and afraid to lose them. But the child of God knows that they can go anywhere under any circumstances and the Peace that passes all understanding will be there unconditionally. Thank You Jesus for your peace ❤

I have been praying & believing for a life changing breakthrough for 20+ years since the year (2002) and god still has me walking through the Valley. I got saved and water baptised when I was 14 in (1996). Spent all of my teenage years in youth groups/bible studies until I was 21. I went with the evangelism team at my church every other Saturday for 4 years and gave up my saturdays to minister to the lost all throughout the region where I live in California. From ages (17 to 21) I was giving messages/sermons at Youth group, at church events and at school when I was still in highschool (2000).

I gave messages to people alone by myself with 50 to 60 people hearing my messages every week for over 3 years. In the process of the past Twenty years I've had family and people that I know in my city/area mock, make fun and ridicule me for my faith and belief in god/jesus. At times I would ask god in prayer and when I talk to him throughout the day, within the past 20 years. Why do you let people who take your name in vain, mock and make fun of you, treat the body of christ bad and everyone who believes in it.

People who don't even believe in you, say your name in vain and they have blessed lives. Your children that have listened and obeyed your word for decades to still go through heartache and pain year after year? I have felt like and have been through purgatory for the past two decades, far from heaven but not bad as hell would be. I prayed, fasted meditated for 20 years and still waiting for it to come to past. Some prayers that can't come to past anymore because it was a prayer for a person who is no longer alive. I prayed, fasted, tithed in (2012) when I was staying at my grandparents house before and after they passed away in the previous years.

That there house would be saved and god would provide the finances for our family to keep their house. It didn't happen and the bank took the house and I was evicted from their house that my grandparents owned for 50 years since the (1940's). My grandparents worked hard their entire lives (80+ years) and at the end of it, there house was taken away by the bank. In (2013) my dad had throat cancer and I prayed and fasted for god to heal him. For god to heal him and allow him to live longer.
I spent over 2 months prayer for my dad everyday. He still passed away that year, even with me fasting for two straight week before he passed.

I was mad at god for a couple years after my dad died. "Telling /asking god in prayer and in speech to him everyday. I've done everything you wanted me to do and you still let my dad pass away". Two years later I had a car that I couldn't make monthly payments too that was repoed by the car dealership and haven't had another car to use since the year (2015). I'm still believing that god/jesus will bring me and my family into our promiseland (financially, emotionally, mentally and spiritually). When I was (18) in the year 2000, god told me in prayer and in a dream that he would give me and my family the wealth and happiness that King Solomon had.

At the same time some of my other family members and people have known for most of my life that don't believe in Jesus, treat people bad, take advantage of people in business are living in prosperity and going on vacation trips every year. 22 years later at age (40) I am still waiting and believing for god's life changing breakthrough to come into my life and my loved ones as well and would also like to get married soon as well to my future wife that I don't know yet.

God is Sovereign and He is Faithful.

The biggest jerks I know get the best breaks and have wonderful lives. The nicest and most caring people I know suffer the most. This is all just a farce to make sense of it.

So you are saying that with rich people it's all an illusion? The money isn't real? OK I know it's not literal but I'm still not understanding...so bad people that have nice things on earth are gonna die And go to Hell so therefor poor people that are good should be happy because they are gonna suffer their whole life and then get old and die and then go to heaven???? I'm a bit confused I guess..

I don't see earthly blessings and eternity in heaven as mutually exclusive things. One could still live a life mostly devoid of suffering and still reap the benefits of being a christian and achieving paradise. I think a problem that arises is in the case of "wicked" people being blessed in the temporal life and later repent and are gifted with eternal treasures as well. Their actions could be questioned in terms of genuineness, but ultimately one can't know for sure. So that turns out to be a double whammy as perceived by devout christians that suffer (through poverty, loss, or other things).

What I don't like about this, is it give Christians the attitude of becoming complacent refusing to share the gospel to unbelievers and spouting hatred and letting them go to hell. I lived with people like that, and it more sounds like they're trying to cope and hide their insecurities. Also I wonder why God let this happens? I thought he wants people to change, repent and turn our eyes again to him? Why is it that his believers and "good people" are the ones to suffer first and get killed, meanwhile the evil and corrupt continues to exploit others, spreading more evil and hatred to God, and yet becoming more prosperous.

That's the thing I never get blessed by God. I try to be a good person everyday god doesnt notice me or answer my prayers. I pray and open my heart to God in private and nothing. It's like he almost doesn't exist and the bible are just fictional stories. I tell God about my problems and I can't stop it on my own he doesn't answer. Either he doesn't care or he just don't exist at all.

I hear you but I find this so difficult to live by, most of the time we can ourselves but to envy those people cause we are talking about Living Today . a Day is like forever man, when youre struggling to pay bills, almost not sleeping just to get to the next day job but ending up getting crumbs while these people gets the whole pie
