This is called a logical contradiction. Man wants freewill from God, yet when another man uses his free will to it's extreme men blame God. You cannot have another being control you and then turn around a claim you want free will

Excellent advice, I've always struggled with what to say when someone experiences a horrible tragedy, but I suppose all they need from me is for me to be there for them.

That kid should ask an even more specific question: "Why hasn't God ever stopped me from sinning?" I'm sure he'd be able to figure it out on his own in a few minutes.

I'm struggling with this question. I'm on a mission to be closer to God. I don't want anything separating myself from him. I've realized the resentment at the thought that he allowed me to be raped is in fact challenging this hope. I'm in prayer hoping for some answer that will remove this from me....it's hard to trust anyone that let you be raped.

Does it not fail his standard for truth???

"Everything is meaningless!"
The Nihilist makes a mad scene,
But if meaning is truly dead,
I wonder what does he mean???

Test every idea against its own standard,
Beware of self-refuting philosophy,
Some saw off the branch on which they sit,
Basing themselves on paradoxical hypocrisy.

Follow the Law of Non-contradiction,
Not beliefs which deny their own base,

I used to ask these same type of questions. I personally have come to the conclusion that It's not God that sits back and allows these things, It's the body of believers....if we were doing our part in our reach of people, we could probably prevent people from becoming rapists, murderers, thieves etc etc. But most pastors preach a feel good message and most church goers never mention God outside the 4 wall building they attend every Sunday.
