A BM remaining this calm during a groom is expending a lot of mental energy. Add in the fact that she's a dang puppy and it's evident how much work the owners have put into working with this dog. She's going to be an even more incredible dog as she matures and learns even more.

Not a breed for most dog owners. This is what excellent dog ownership looks like.

I just saw this on the news, Two dogs locked inside a home, mauled an intruder (who broke into the home) to death. The dogs were taken away initially. After numerous calls and messages to the sheriff’s office, the sheriff had announced that the two dogs will be released to their owners after ten days quarantine. Without the calls of good people, these two would probably be put to death. The family thinks they are heroes ♥️

I told my 30 year old son about these videos as he is a dog lover too but he scoffed at me saying "you actually sit and watch a dog getting a hair cut? That's sad dad you need to find a hobby"
One week later he comes round for Sunday dinner and asks "did you see how much fluff came off the Burnese mountain dog?" When I laughed he said yeah I've pretty much watched all of them now. Lol

One of my ancestors, my great-great-grandfather (I'm a Belgian, living in Belgium) was one of the people who had a part in creating the breed in the region around Mechelen (Malines in French, hence Malinois, and the Dutch name for the breed is Mechelse Herder ('Shepherd of Mechelen')).
My grandaunt has the artwork he'd had made of his original Malinois progenitor/ancestor at her home still. Apparently that progenitor was super well trained and he went to pick up my great-grandmother from primary school each day and walked her home, so without the owners! Doing that nowadays would surely get some looks or concerned citizens calling the police xD.

I work at a vet clinic and luckily every client that’s has had a malinos, has been very well trained and well adjusted dogs, it makes me happy to see people actually put in the work into a highly-active dog breed
edit: just to clarify the amount i see regularly are like 8-10 malinos, i live in a really nice area and i know b/c they are “trendy” guard dogs it’s only a matter time before some idiot gets one

My neighbour trains Malinois as police dogs. The current one, which he kept even after getting all certifications, is the cutest silly boy. The sweetest baby, a real weirdo. Until he gets his commands at the training field ... 🤣

I was a K9 handler and had 2 Mali partners. The tenacity, fierceness, loyalty, and intelligence in these dogs is unbelievable. Best dogs in the world for working, but not as casual pets.

As an owner of a malinoi, what she's saying is 100% true. They require a lot of training, and an owner who is willing to spend a lot of time with them. They can also turn hostile if not socialized properly, which is a very dangerous thing considering their bite and agility.
