What wonderful finds. The silver diaper pins are great. Never seen any of them before. The doily is gorgeous and I love the red glass. Love and blessings ❤️❤️❤️

Two things I noticed. One, how neat everyone’s handwriting was back when children learned penmanship. And two, how inflated grades have gotten over the years. Back then an “A” really was something special.

Nice haul today. You would be proud of me this week. The woman who owns the craft shop next door said very sadly to me the other day that she couldn't get any of the artists she stocked in the shop to make anything with pumpkins. She said she was changing the windows to an autumn display today, so I made her some pumpkins out of an old cashmere sweater (given to me with stains and moth holes), the stuffing from an old cushion and string. I've given her eight so far and she wants two more for the side window. They look cute and very homemade, but work well with the ethos and style of the shop.

Poor kids in that classroom.
I like those sterling diaper pins & the beautiful compote for Christmas ornaments display.
You did quite well today.

In the baby book, the baby was born on my mom's birthday, September 14th. She was born in '56 though. I just love stuff like that. We could never imagine where our little personal momentos might end up decades from now.

Your cut crystal globe piece is an inkwell. Unusual ball shape and with the finial on the lid. That piece was well used. It was a workhorse. I bet it produced a lot of documents. I don’t think it adorned a lady’s writing desk. What a find!

Lots of great finds, unusual ones. It’s like going down Memory Lane sometimes… That doily is exquisite, and I liked the red cut glass with the bottom design, sure would make beautiful cookies. The small glass container with silver lid is beautiful, too. Liked the flower book but you might want to photocopy pages instead of cutting them out! You always include comments that make me laugh so thank you for that, too!

I love everything you found. The pedestal compote is beautiful! The butterflies are so pretty and I would probably frame them. Tfs❤

Maybe the cut glass with no spoon cut out is an inkwell? Lovely finds

I think the baby in the diary is the teacher from the grade book.

Love the cranberry glass pedstal. I have several cut crystal ones, but have not found a new one in a very long time. Really looking forward to watching you work on your collage books again! I am really hoping to start one myself. Amazing on the butter pats matching! You should use them at a holiday table. 😊
