Orange County, California— Today as I was driving home from the grocery store, I couldn’t believe my eyes... A GARAGE SALE!!! I drove by really slow, it was all baby stuff, so I didn’t go. But there were customers there, wearing masks, and buying baby stuff! Hooray, things will be happening again!

I’m new to your channel. ( relatively) I think you’re a breath of fresh air. So good at explaining everything and I admire your passion to salvage things that may other wise be destroyed and wasted. 😊

I think the flea markets may do well once they reopen because the outdoors format should feel safer to people. I know I’d go to an open market before I’d go to a thrift store. There’s more room to spread out and you can back away if things get crowded, plus being outside just feels safer.

I think flea markets will survive. The thrill of the hunt and searching for treasures is so addictive. I know I’m an addict!

I definitely not be going. I believe it is too soon. I want our society to be safe. I don't want to spread the Coronavirus, nor do I want to be exposed. We are all walking around not knowing if we have the virus or not. The economy was started too quickly during the 1918 flu pandemic, and the deaths doubled. My opinion.

I 've never heard or seen a head vase before, but I m in love. I 'll keep my eye out for one now. As for markets and such, there will be lots of people cleaning out their houses while in quarantine and unfortunately emptying out items of loved ones. People will be smart with their money and looking for deals on items and thinking before buying. But I m sure that feeling of purchasing something will win over sometimes. Stay safe Renee, don t be in a hurry. Why not have a yard sale with Taco to start off the season and stand back and watch how things go.

We all have those " shoulda, coulda, woulda moments and they are definitely life lessons. I pray that every thing opens up slowly and safely. We've got to open America, safely, even though it is scary. Trust me, if we don't God help us. We don't want another depression. This recession is bad enough. You are the perfect person to do a YouTube video about the history of America during the depression era. . Great video Renee!!! TFS

Renee I am considered high risk. I am 66 and on chemo medication so as much as I love flea markets and garage sales I will not be going this summer. I think our way of living is going to change and we need to be out of large crowds and things handled by others we will need to be very careful. Also wearing gloves and a mask will just be too hot in the heat and I plan on wearing these items for a long while. So for me I am sad but will not be going out much. I cannot afford to get this virus.

I live in North Carolina and people are doing their spring ckeaning out during this quarantine and taking items to donation centers. We have a landfield and there's been lines consistent for the last several weeks. I'm afraid even the yard sales might be slim pickings this summer. I really enjoy your channel. I love vintage items in original boxes and items that have history and tell a story.

During this pandemic we have to adjust to the new normal. We have to be creative and reinvent our selves. Flexibility is key.
So sell on line. Change your game to survive. My greatest fear is that people will rush prematurely to the old ways . The "die hards" might just die hard.
We need to not get back to NOT get back to normal. We need to preserve the new normal.

Hi there Renee! I recently found your channel and I have been binge watching you pretending that was me out there going trash and treasure hunting! I’m in Australia and I cannot wait for our markets and op shops reopen. I am a volunteer at our local Red X shop and I certainly miss that, but all in all I am loving the extra time at home. Regarding your head vase, I have one the same size as yours, but when I was hand washing it one of the earrings fell off and went straight down the drain!! I feel sad every time I look at her 😢. Thank you for a fabulous channel, you are a delight to watch and listen to. Cheers from Dorle in Oz 😘😎🇦🇺🙃😷

I found your summary of the Sellers really interesting, without judgement, it appears they are money led rather than health.I live in Scotland, I do a small Antiques and Collectable Fair, it is not for money but my hobby. We have a great bunch of friends who enjoy the selling.I’ve collected all my life and now make cash to buy my passion modern studio pottery. The only shops open are food shops and pharmacies here, no Charity shops, auctions or sales. Personally I’ve made myself very knowledgeable about the virus and I’m prepared to wait.I have a garage and two sheds full of stock....nothing is worth losing your life for. So it could be next year, I content myself by bringing boxes in and being surprised by all the lovely things I forgot I had. Love your channel.Isn’t it great we are all so different.Peace and love😍❤️🌈🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️🥰

My dear, sure as pigeon poop the flea markets will be back.I'm kind of a car guy and like going to auctions and swap meets.Spring Carlisle got postponed until late May.(I hope they don't cancel it altogether.)I've been going there for years! This may be good news for some flea marketeers;when they finally reopen, the vendors will be ready to sell at a lower price just to get something for their items. There won't be the Nervous Nellie types there, so that makes more room for us to scarf up on the good deals.Like you mentioned, if we have to wear a mask, so be it.I feel in the end it will be worth it.Just my 2 cents.

I figure that the flea markets will open. It will be safer than in a building. There are some older folks that sold at the flea market where I sold and they lived on very limited fixed incomes and they had to have the extra that they made to make ends meet! I can't wait to see you back at the flea market, especially since health wise I can't do it anymore. I can get my enjoyment from watching you and Taco Stacks!!
