Great information. I enjoy finding cook books stuffed with recipes from m magazines and handwritten pass along recipes.

What a great topic. Cookbooks are easy for me to pick up, and I have been able to sell some in my booth. It’s fun to read through them before I let them go. 😄
Thanks Diana!

Boy, you sure packed a lot of information into those few minutes, Diana! I still love my 1973-ish Joy of Cooking; I bought one for myself when I first got married, thinking it would be the same as my mother's! Mine did NOT have her beloved banana bread recipe with sour milk (probably buttermilk) in it; I was crushed. Hers had the instructions on how to beat the little yellow capsule of coloring into the oleo (during WWII) to make it yellow! I still use mine for muffins, Yorkshire pudding, and lobster cooking times especially! I love the little church cookbooks as everyone contributed their BESTEST recipes to the effort. Never seen so many Jello salad recipes in my life! No one considered calories or cholesterol in those days!!!! I find that cookbooks sell slowly in my booth and have learned from you to buy the "standards" instead of the exotics one. I hate having to buy $12 work of seasonings/herbs to try a one-time recipe that I'll never make again!

Great video! I like the idea of a cookbook section in my booth! I will give it a try!

Wonderful video! I know J.C. cookbooks sell for a good chunk of coin, but never found one! The handwritten one's are so special. Thank you for the information you are so sweet and delightful.

Wonderful!! I love collecting cookbooks, but I haven’t tried listing any for sale (yet!) 😉 Do you buy/sell The Joy of Cooking? I didn’t see it in your line up. My Salvation Army sells paperbacks for $.99 but hardcovers are $1.99 - I maybe need to try stores a bit further out from the metro area. Very happy to see your smiling face twice in one week!!! And why on earth would anyone try to speed your videos up?? lol xoxo

Lots of good information on cookbooks in your video. Today I purchased one of the first Betty Crocker cookbook in 3 ring binder form. Inside pages are in very good condition, however the front red & white squares look faded like from the sun. No damage. I paid $8 for it as I couldn't resist it...your thoughts on pricing this please? I sell several cookbooks each month. TY

Which version is more valuable, when looking for an older Pillsbury or Betty Crocker-type cookbook? Hardcover or Binder?
