Oh the buttons 🥰 I’ve had a few bulk vintage button bargains recently and I find nothing more relaxing and nostalgic than sorting vintage buttons looking for treasure. It reminds me of being 4 years old and sorting the buttons in my grandmother’s button box.

The opera coat is lovely! I love Check your red velvet antique book you purchased awhile back about a night at the opera…maybe you’ll see a character wearing it! I loved the story about your daughters name, the box and your birthdate!

Fun little stories, I noticed that you took gentle care of the holy pictures (liked that), I have a lot because they were special to my grandmother and those from France are beautiful and old, old buttons are getting rarer to find because I think people toss them, be happy with your husband-some men wouldn't be on the same page! And lastly, I would look into some preservation for the opera coat, it isn't cheap but I feel that collar especially will deteriorate without attention, See you at the next church rummage sale!! I get the next velvet!

I keep remembering the sweet vintage things I inherited from my mother that I have packed away each time I see the treasures you find and celebrate. You make me think about getting out the boxes to sort through the lovely bits and pieces. It's getting time for me to downsize. Her eye, and mine in turn, was drawn to the anesthetic you have designed for your beautiful and charming home. I need to look at etsy and maybe set up shop!
