BREAKING: Just one week after Helene hit the Southeast, we're learning that the death toll has risen to at least 200 dead. Why is the feds keeping the supplies donations from the victims? Who has the right to stop the locals from helping threatening arrests? The locals know best what needs to be done, and they are professional about it

That’s a lie! One local said there were over 900 bodies

There are many more dead than 200 . Tons of people are missing, some dead some living . I'm expecting the death toll across the states affected will end up being in the thousands . 😭

Absolutely sad. Lets give money to help these poor areas, stop sending billions to the war. Our country needs to help its own. Those other nations want to create havoc on each other, let em buck it out themselves, and help our homeland!!

Absolutely heart wrenching videos and pleas for help! I know there is finally Government help in NC but it's pitifully, woefully inadequate. If it weren't for the overwhelming volunteer army showing up, the death toll would be much higher! And now stories of FEMA taking control of public school donations? FEMA used to be helpful during disasters, guess that was before Biden and Harris raided FEMA budgets to help illegal aliens!

Completely heartbreaking and unimaginable. That beautiful city of Asheville is ruined. I've donated to animal rescues as well as charities on the ground who are helping people, and urge others to do so, as well. Shame on the Biden administration for being more interested in the election than the devastation all across the Southeast. And God bless Elon Musk for opening up Starlink so the people can use the Internet.

Those saying we are not taking care of our citizens are wrong. We have sent millions of meals and liters of clean water, The number of which is escalating by the moment, rightly so, thousands of technicians working to restore phone, internet, electricity, as well as working on water purification which soars far into the millions. Shelters and temporary homes for the many have been displaced across the states of North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina and Virginia. President Biden was on site and approved a Major Disaster declaration in multiple States, which comes in fast with boots on ground, including doctors and nurses and other medical professionals, thousands more troops, millions in supplies for such necessary items as medications, bedding, generators needed especially in hospitals and temporary housing, oxygen tanks, diapers, toys for the children, formula, animal care and everything you can think of.
Professionals from all over the country must be paid. Disaster declarations set off work and resources of FEMA in the days ahead. This will skyrocket into the billions. What will take down our country is the willful ignorance surrounding weather events and the terror that climate change Is presenting as well as a divided populace. Imagine what's happening with the volunteers and staff working down there. Volunteers are coming from all over the country to assist. They are seeing horrible things that they will never unsee. And you can't send enough money to cover that. And these are facts, not just inflammatory accusations: The last administration squandered millions of water on the tarmacs for Puerto Rico disaster help, Left citizens without aid, but offered the best paper towels at the crowds of desperate citizens needing help. Due to health, I am now low income but I have already sent donations to the agencies that I am most passionate about and I suggest you do too instead of taking out your aggression in the name of the disaster facing our citizens.
