My car did this and I just cleaned the area the cap screws into and the cap, and it went away. I assume there is a sensor that can tell if the cap is on or not. Not sure, but it worked for me

According to my Honda Tech friend, tske off the fuel cap, retighten it, and and just drive the car. The computer will shut off the warning light by itself once it senses that the cap is on proper and tight.
Usually happens if you dont turn the fuel cap enough.

Just a shot in the dark, but check your spark plugs. Change them if they look worn.

I have a 2007 CRV, 200, 000 miles.. Bought new OEM cap, didn't help. Bought a new Purge Valve for $40 and it instantly solved the problem. Duralast part number PV499.

this happened to my brother in his regular 2014 civic lx like last week, he checked his manual book to see if there was a solution there, and it was there, i dont remember exactly where he found it but maybe check your car manual see if its there too. i remember it saying it should go away after following the procedure the manual gave

happened on my '13 si...common problem. the code will clear itself out if you keep driving for a couple days. you don't have to do anything.

My car started doing that too ever since I messed with the fuel pump. Mines comes on and off no big issue but weird how it comes on. I just take off the cap start my car up turn it off again put the cap on and start it back up that usually works or I just leave it alone and it goes away.

Your fuel cap is just not tight. Make sure it's always three click of more. Reopen the cap and tight it agin till its 3 click of more and it'll go off. Happen to my 07 si too

This happens to me from time to time, I usually just get out open it and re close it. Warning usually goes away afterwards. Seems it is an evap leak code, a lot of people have had this "issue" from s2k's to current 9th gen owners.

hey tong, i had this code when i installed my intake. It could be a vacuum leak. I tightened up the clamps after some more and it went away..

Check to see if the gasket or o ring on the cap is bad.

I just opened the cap then closed it, turned my car on and off twice, and it fixed it's self

Happen to me twice. fill up your tank and it should go away. i read it might be caused by a sudden change in temperature when your tank is low.
