I like how every time something goes bad on my car, Chris makes a video about it hours later. Thanks.

No way I’m a subscriber for years and I haven’t notice that Chris revealed his face in this video

Probably one of the best explanation videos on YouTube! Nicely shot, edited, fabulous graphics, excellent information from someone who knows the subject, and the audio is GREAT! Thanks for the fine explanation!

FANTASTIC! Clear, relevant, precise and concise. Excellent use of graphics, speech pace, camera shooting and perfect deliverance of content. Enough, and no extra.
Watched lots of YT since it launched. I'm not a subscriber to stuff.
This vid changed that.

Didnt know that the fuel system had such a complex part built in. Very informative. Never ever heard about vacuum leak detection in a car. The explanation was perfect. Cheers

I had a similar problem on my 07 caravan, but my cap was still in good shape, the o ring was a bit dry, so I tried something out. I went and bought a $1 tube of chapstick, applied some to the o-ring and the mouth of the filler tube careful not to get any down the tube. I put the cap on and removed it several times to work the chapstick in and low and behold, after about 1 or 2 min of running the check engine light went out, and the gas cap light on my odometer went out as well, that was over 4 months ago and its yet to come back on, just thought I'd share something I stumble across that MAY work for others as well :) Keep up the good videos!

Your knowledge is uncanny.  It's amazing how much you know about the things that most people experience as "issues".  I love the way you explain everything in simplest forms, and make it very easy to understand, and I work for an auto parts store and your version is still easier to understand.  Did you ever think about teaching??  Great job as always brother, keep up the excellent work.

ChrisFix Sir, you are doing an amazing job. You're videos are so thorough and concise. You provide us with the right information but you don't overload. If you taught a class on auto mechanic then I would take it haha.

Wow!!! Thanks for saving my money, last year I took my car to the dealer and they give me lots of none sense and they want $350 to fix this problem with my gas cap light always on, so I never fixed it until this now with your help, I just changed my bad gas cap and the light is off . Thanks Chris !!!!

Great video. In all the cars I've had I only had a Check Engine light instead of a separate Check Gas Cap light. I've noticed that if the problem is the gas cap not being tight enough, once you tighten it some more, it may take a day or so of driving before the Check Engine light goes off.

Hi, Chris, love all your videos. Learn a lot. I'm driving a 2015 jeep grand cherokee. It has a capless fuel tank. Check engine light is on sometimes after I fuel my car. How can I fix this problem? Thanks

Whew!!!..Thank you so much Bud!.I have a gas cap that wouldn't engage (click) and I didn't think it was too big of a deal.Yesterday my gas cap and check engine light came on and I thought "Uh oh, looks like I'm taking the bus for a while" because I'm between jobs and I have an interview set for today!.I'm gonna try this because nothing is overheating and my friend noticed a funny smell coming in from the vent and remarked on it.Worth a shot anyhow.

Thank you so much for all your videos! So many things about cars scare me & after watching your videos, I'm able to relax & not be stressed out & panicky every time the check engine light comes on. I have done a few things on my car that I wouldn't even have attempted before.

Good job Chris. You get better with every video you share, thanks, quite informative. I never knew that a gas cap was so important.

Thanks for the video. I have a 2007 Sub with only 74 miles. Check engine light turned on with OBD code P0446 (Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit 1/1. I've replaced the gas cap, vapor vent canister valve, vapor jumper wire and the Emissions Vapor Canister Purge Valve Solenoid EVAP Vent ( I don't think it's necessary but I did it anyway). Cleared it and the check engine light is gone but after driving 93 miles, the I/M is still not ready with a combo drive of city and fwy. Drove it for another mile and after 6 cycles, when I ran the OBD at 94 miles to see if it's I/M ready, unfortunately I see the same "pending" P0446 code despite driving it up to 110 miles hoping it will clear on it's own. So I decided to erase the pending code/OBD and did the same thing again. Drove it up to 92 miles without check engine, still not I/M ready and at 94 miles later it's still not ready and the "pending" p0446 code is back. Should I continue driving it in hope that it will go away since it's not giving me a permanent OBD code? I'd appreciate any suggestions on what to do so I can get this smog. Btw, I/M reads as: PdDTC (1), Evap (X), Cat (X) and the rest has a check mark/ready.
