Check Your Gas Cap

You probably think about your gas cap approximately, never. It’s a silent hero of the fuel system, until something goes wrong. If your gas cap has an issue, it will usually cause a Check Engine Light to appear. When this happens, it either needs to be tightened or replaced.

I bought the Duralast gas cap from you guys and it didn’t work in clearing my CEL. I bought another one on Amazon and it worked.

I cleaned the gas cap (Volvo V70) with WD40. The check engine light turned off after a while.

My replacement gas gap just fits but it does not click either similarly to my replaced cap 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes, check engine light is cause by aftermarket gas cap, never never purchase aftermarket gas cap or any kinds parts especially that could throw DTC, always purchase Genuine parts, regardless of price, genuine parts are trouble free and will last.

You don't have to use Autozone, you can also use a different supplier. But I guess every american beyond the age of 2 will know this.

Why not run the computer check first that way if the cap is not the problem and not waste money on unneeded parts to begin with
