Make Immovable Slicers for Pivot Tables - Excel Quickie 101

This prevents a user from being able to click and drag the slicer around; as such, it will help keep your worksheet looking nice and neat instead of a jumbled mess.

This is not the same as preventing the slicer from moving/resizing with the cells in the worksheet.

This tip only works for later versions of Excel. In this video, I'm using Excel 365.

Useful tip, thank you. However, this does not seem to stop slicers moving out of view if I use the scroll bar to move down the page, nor do any of the options to move/not move with cell checkbox (as far as I can tell). I have a pivot table which is quite large and I often have to scroll down the page to see the bit of it I need. Is there a way that you know to keep slicers in view, without having to squeeze them all into whatever part of the pane I have frozen? So far, the best solution I have found is some VBA which moves slicers along as the active cell changes, but ideally I would like a floating slicer which stays in view regardless of whether I move the active cell or use the scroll bar. Thanks.
