I have to do this a lot Doug so I use a cell in Excel worksheet for the user to type in their path, which is then linked by creating a table then drill down. So the source references that path. Works a treat 😀

What if we create a data model and then a pivot using that data model.
Just share the file with the pivot (and not the data). Isn't it possible for the user to access the pivot without the source data file at their end?

I'm building an updating DCF model and I made it so that the user can input any ticker they want and it will get the data for it. The problem I experience is that when Excel gets the ticker from the user, for some reason Excel decides to slap on a %20 for no reason with the ticker and that results in a 404 error. How do I stop Excel from adding that %20 to my ticker?
