Hey mate, funny stuff. Here's some info on Western Australia you might not know and what it makes one of the most successful places in the world:
Global credit rating agency S&P deemed WA’s economy the best in the world over the past 12 months, outsmarting North Rhine Westphalia in Germany which came second place and Queensland which was the next-best state in Australia (2020-2021).
On the back of a mining boom and soaring iron ore price, WA has performed better than any other state or region in Australia or the world over the past 12 months since the pandemic hit.
This comes as consumer confidence in WA is also at an 11-year high.
The S&P report also found that WA’s debt as a percentage of operating revenue was the lowest in the world at 91.8 per cent.
WA's forecast record $6 billion budget surplus for 2022-23 raises important questions about the priorities for WA's windfall gain from the current boom in iron ore royalties.
The Western Australian economy is a state economy dominated by its resources and services sector and largely driven by the export of iron-ore, gold, liquefied natural gas and agricultural commodities such as wheat. Covering an area of 2.5 million km2, the state is Australia's largest, accounting for almost one-third of the continent. Western Australia is the nation's fourth most populous state, with 2.6 million inhabitants (11% of the national population).
In 2011, Western Australia provided 46% of Australia's merchandising exports.] In 2018-19, Western Australia's gross state product was A$260.6 billion (14% of Australia's GDP), ] making it the nation's most productive state, and one of the most wealthy places on earth with a GDP per capita of A$135, 479 (compared with the national average of A$74, 605).] In 2018-19, Western Australia exported A$147.1 billion worth of goods and imported A$34.1 billion, creating a trade surplus of A$112.95 billion. This is in contrast to the national trade deficit of A$70.5.

WA is the only state that has been running a budget surplus for the last five years 😅and they didn't mention the over 200 thousand jobs it takes to support a remote mining operation, have you ever wondered what a state with extra money looks like 😂 Disneyland on steroids 😅😊😂
