Texas police apologize for scary traffic stop

Police in Frisco, Texas, outside Dallas, are apologizing after a traffic stop that scared a family. They held a couple from Arkansas at gunpoint and handcuffed their son earlier this month. The family was headed to a basketball tournament.

I mean the A is right by the Z on the keyboard. I definitely understand that mistake but she should’ve confirmed all she typed and matched with the plate. Now you done created this trauma in these innocent folks trying to just go to a basketball tournament. I’m soooo glad nothing bad happened cus the police force would and still have some SPLAINING to do!!!!

Finally, some accountability was taken by a police officer who realizes that HUMANS MAKE MISTAKES- it’s too bad most other police officers don’t have the Integrity this particular officer has.

Frisco is freaking horrible about that, I went to jail for another person with the same first and last name as mine. 2 hours into me sitting in the holding cell, and they just said sorry....and let me go! frustrating. They didn't check my DL, my social, or even check my middle name.

Yeah ok she entered the wrong letter. 😂 1-100% i say i believe the cop 110%.. next case? wrong letter, ha, so she couldn't tell that it's the wrong car, color, and many more.

Observation:
Headed to a baset-ball tourney, not a chess tournament or spelling bee, all with ig'nant 1st names "rocking" Nikes.

I can imagine their pure terror considering that most African-Americans stopped by police officers in racist states or end up beaten to a pulp or death.
