Good video; it is a turn to the LEFT not right and as you say, anti-clockwise for the pressure relief on the cylinder. cheers.

A lot bloody better explanation than the Rolf Harris impersonator.

What happens if no water comes through the tundish when I turn the pressure release valve? Lots ob bubbling sounds as well.

Simple to follow up instructions, plain language, just done mine for the first time .

Thank you for the video. I have to repeat this every month on my Megaflo if I want to prevent water dripping into the tundris.

"Rotate that valve to the right, anti-clockwise." You must have some very odd clocks. I think you meant LEFT. ;-)😁

The only problem I found with the video is that you advise to open the temperature and pressure valve anticlockwise to the right. Anticlockwise is to the left!!! Does it make a difference. What if I have no tun dish?

rotate the valve to the right? looks like yer turning it left?

Very clear instructions. Thank you so much.

Thanks . Great video . Could I know the normal range of pressure (bar) of the cylinder ? Do I need to maintain a suitable range of pressure after discharge ?

My megaflo tank leaked through the immersion heater. I called out a plumber and he replaced the immersion heater and serviced the tank. He said this had happened beecause the air pocket had disappeared. My question is, why wasn't the excess pressure released through the safety valve and out through the tun dish? This is a bit worrying.

Great BUT....

Why does the bubble deplete in the first place. Mine needs doing pretty well every month. I've never got a satisfactory explanation from Baxi when I've asked. They give variety of explanations but thet never manage to explain why air travels down through water and out through hot taps. They've cancelled any thought of air dissolving in the water but I'm not convinced it cannot happen. I'm going to fit an expansion tank and get rid of the issue for good.

Megaflo is a great idea on paper but if the bubble cannot be relied upon to stay in place it's a non-starter...unless you're a plumber. Plenty of call-outs ensue and any detractors are told explanations that defy simple physics!

Great video. I have one of these tanks but started to make noise whenever I use the hot water? what do I need to do? change the ballcock valve (if it has one) or is to do with pressure

Great video. My tank way empty! So once blue cap was off took 3 seconds to stop! Still no hot water for me 🙄

Useful video except think you say rotate to right is clockwise and then you rotate it anticlockwise

I've done this and checked my strainer filter, which was clean as new, but I only get dhw for a few minutes. Any advice?

Wat about if the prv start leaking afterwards. As because of scale in hard water area prv leaks if u turn and let the water out

When fitted to ground floor or in an apartment without a 'down stairs' this method doesn't work consistently. Shouldn't the advise be to drain from the bottom stop-cock drain on the tank either into the shower tray via a hose, or have it plumbed into drainage that the bath and sink drains into?

When I go to open the pressure release valve after doing all the steps before it doesn't open but instead clicks when I turn it. But if I just turn the pressure valve without turning off the cold water supply then it does release the pressure. What's happening here?
