What causes keratosis pilaris (KP)? What can I do to make keratosis pilaris better??
Very good questions and I will explain what I know in this video. Dermatologists typically tell you there is nothing that can be done about keratosis pilaris, or that an expen$ive laser treatment might help. Here are some easy & affordable things you can do.

I have been keto for 5 years. I have had KP for years started in my teens. When I went keto in 2017, I realized it began to go away! It is gone now. Such a wonderful video thank you so much for this Dr. Berry! You are such a wonderful source of information and inspiration.

I don’t think dermatology should be a branch anymore. Psoriasis, KP, acne, rosacea all have an underlying condition. We all need an awakening, doctors have become so greedy that they’ve stopped researching and just using lasers and expensive peels. We’re so great full that people like you exist .

I´m 55 and I was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2020. I´d suffered from KP since I recall, but I started ketogenic diet 5 years ago (without knowing my oncologic condition). 2 years after we started the Ketogenic diet, my wife noticed my KP is completely gone; but the most outstanding moment was when the oncologist told me after the surgery and the analysis of the tumor, that I don´t need chemotherapy, nor other treatments. Today I practice carnivore diet, 99% free of plants except olives (to hard for me to quit them) and free of any medication. Feel like I´m in my 20´s. The message: listen when Dr. Berry tells "whatch out, Is not the Keratosis Pilaris the problem, but the hyperinsulinemia" Obviously the KP is a neon sign telling you "Hyperinsulinemia" as a tatoo on your skin

I had keratosis pilaris until I stopped eating gluten in 2013. It went away, and has never returned. Avoiding all gluten fixed a lot of issues for me. Going keto helped with a lot of other issues. I want you to know I really appreciate your videos.

I’m seeing incredible results following your recommendations since October, down 37lbs, XL to M for my shirt size, energy that lasts all day instead of spikes and crashes, healthier skin, nails, and hair, and putting on muscle pretty effortlessly unlike every other time I’ve tried.

Intermittent fasting has started to become natural as well. Yesterday I made it until 6pm before I ate my first meal and I wasn’t even trying!

I was strict low carb for several years and pretty consistent about it. This skin condition mostly vanished for me and my acne also cleared up. Recently, I've been a bit off the wagon and eating more carbs and sugar than I should. I've started to notice some of the "chicken skin" again and a bit of acne on my cheeks. At least it's helping motivate me to get back on the keto wagon.

I'm so happy to see you talk about this topic. I knew you would have the answer and the solution to this problem. My dermatologist said it's nothing to worry about and they showed it to my allergist who said it was just dry skin. And I knew that wasn't right.

Started out researching fasting, found Dr Berry’s videos. Fasted 20/4 for 3 months and got great results, Decided to jump on keto too and Everything changed.. It was like my body absorbed the Kryptonite of all its issues! I lost another 10 kilos, my psoriasis cleared right up, gout disappeared, ankle pain/inflammation disappeared, blurry vision improved, joint pain disappeared, energy levels stopped crashing and became linear, saved a ton of food costs, body odour reduced, mood increased, stress level decreased and I can go on and on.. Me and my company are better off because I’m feeling great! Best thing is I’m a very simple man, and I LOVE the routine of eggs, grass fed mince and not eating for 20 hours, it’s incredibly efficient and it suits me perfectly.. Thanks Dr Berry. I appreciate you 👌🏼🙏🏼

The more of Dr. Berry's videos I watch the more I realize the things going on with my body since I was a child are all symptoms of food related illness.

I've had KP for my whole life and the doctors just told me to scrub harder when I bathed and don't worry about it.

It's just been mind blowing that I can fix all these little issues going on with me by changing my diet.

You are so my hero. I met you in Atlanta on Feb 19. My son has the condition as well as epilepsy so of course I want him to go Keto. I have forwarded this video to him, hoping something will trigger him to get on board. Thank you so much!

I appreciate all your important info regarding various skin conditions that alone are not harmful, but could indicate potential insulin problems. I don't eat as many carbs as I used to but definitely could cut back. Since losing 30 pounds last year and maintaining the loss, I would like to tweak my food routines. Thanks Doc!

I'm 70 and had KP but did not know what it was. I recently started a ketogenic diet and the KP has disappeared. Thank you for providing the information that has given me the awareness of what has been affecting me. I am looking and feeling better than I have in many years.

Thank you for making a video about this. I have had this for as long as I can remember on my arms and legs. After pregnancy it got worse and spread over my trunk. I am back on keto going on 3 months and it is slowly improving.

This is fascinating!! Thank you for sharing! I have had KP for years and am now type 2 diabetic. I started a keto/low carb lifestyle this past October and my KP is gone!!! My son who is 19, tall and thin, also started getting KP a couple of years ago. All he will eat is Kraft macaroni and cheese, potato chips and chicken nuggets. I will definitely be sending him this video and having him get his bloodwork done!!

I'm KETO 4+ years and I'm so pleased with the change in my skin. I did have KP on my thighs and the back of my arms. It's gone completely now. My skin in general.... overall is now so smooth and soft. The quality of my skin is amazing.

Carnivore has cured my KP. I had the most severe case my dermatologist had ever seen. It was bad - all over my body. I tried expensive and painful peels, lasers, creams, scrubs, and diets. Nothing helped. I haven’t worn t-shirts and shorts in nearly 2 decades because I was so self-conscious. I’ve always hated the summer for that reason. For the first time in my adult life, I’m actually going to wear summer clothes next year. My skin is so soft and flawless. It’s quite remarkable.

Carnivore for me and strict keto for my son has rid us of KP. I was bullied hard as a kid so I’m grateful to be rid of it for him!
