The Surface Laptop 5 has all it takes to excel in the design department, but when it comes to its performance, it's not really the likely candidate for your hard-earned cash. Yes, it has the 12th Gen Intel processor that's Evo certified, a sleek design and more, but it lacks in performance when compared to its competitors. What do you think? would you still get this over the M1 MacBook Air or even the Dell XPS 13?

Would you get this over the M1 Macbook Air?

If you are OS agnostic, then the M2 MB Air is easily the better choice in most metrics, especially performance and battery life. The Surface Laptop is mainly for businesses affiliated with MS and has to show their loyalty and get a Surface machine.

The Surface Laptop OG has been solid and reliable for me, and if you want a run-of-the-mill laptop that shines not too bright, then it is all right. But other OEM ultrabooks have moved the game on, and this is no longer priced to be a sensible option for consumers.
