Best and effective exercises. A very good video for patients after removal of plaster cast from wrist/arm. Heartiest thanks for making this one.

I also had distal radius fracture and had a surgery 5 weeks ago. These exercises are great. I do them each day in my breaks of work. They help a lot.
I also found out that; actually using your hand helps a lot too. I try to do daily stuff a little bit more each day.
I wasn't able to eat with my right hand, then barely able to eat 4 days ago, yesterday I was able to eat near-properly :) I was able to lift a glass 2 weeks ago, last week I was able to lift glass of water and drink, two days ago I was able to lift and drink from 500ml bottle easily. I will try 1 or 2kg bottles whenever I can :)
Also, my next challenge is opening doors with my right hand. I will share the results :D

Thank you. You are my hand “team”. Medical treatment is very unavailable in my country/ world.

I watched few other videos this looks more professionally done. I like the way they named each of them.

I have a plate and six screws in half my arm now. I’m so lost rn the pains come and go but the most painful thing is the mental health issues going with it especially when you have no social life or friends for support 😪

Can you tell when the pressure can be given to improve pronation and supination movement after ORIF surgery for both ulnar and radius fracture?

I am 6 weeks post-op distal radius fx ORIF still wearing a removable brace totally out of Oxycodone post-op RX oh, I received a metal plate with 10 screws and literally have no strength in my left wrist at all. I'm wondering if it is gone for good. The pain is still pretty well pronounced I would say moderate-to-severe and I still have a lot of major post-op bruising. My phone was falling out of my hand I was backing up trying to keep it from falling and tripped over an ottoman, I stuck out my arms to break my fall and shattered my left wrist.

I wish I could see someone with an actual injury do these because watching someone with a healthy wrist is depressing. I’m at ten weeks and my hand and wrist are stuffed

One year on from the distal radius fracture, it turns out it is a poor repair, some 5 degrees or so out, I find I am unable to play my previous sports of squash and tennis due to restricted lateral movement of my hand. It strikes me one is better off breaking both radius and ulna, that way they have to use a metal plate and screws to fix the fracture. surely allowing for more accurate healing? Rather than, "err, that looks about right"? Would I be able to get it reset by a more competent clinician?

At the wrist extension, you say that you can press more with the other hand after 8 weeks. Is it 8 week after the cast went off? Or since the accident?

I fractured my distal radius about 6 weeks ago and have been out of surgery for 5 weeks. I'm on week 4 of PT. When I fractured it I was told that my radius had been shortened so I'm struggling a lot I'm struggling a lot with pronation and supination. I have been working on that since week 1A physical therapy and it doesn't seem to be getting any better although we are adding weight now.

How many days or weeks after the operation should this be practiced? Got my forearm operated / implanted with orthopedic structure after an accident that broke my ulna and radius?
