I actually was a both in a concorde and a TU-144 a while ago and they are practically the same aircraft, exept for some small differences like the shape of the engine housing and those small "wings" of the TU-144

The US conducted a test where they would fly Supersonic jets over a city creating Sonic Booms. The population of those cities didn't take this too kindly, so the Boeing 2707 project was cancelled as it's main intention was to fly short flight within Mainland US
