Thanks to everyone who voted on this video topic in the community tab! For those whose vote didn't win I will try to get everything that I can (priority will be on 'mathematics of astronomy/astrophysics' though). Enjoy!

Can we take a moment to recognize that this guy has never clickbaited us

I took a physics section in one of my classes (I'm taking forensic science in undergrad), and physics is used in accident reconstruction, mass shooting/sniper scenarios, blood spatter analysis, etc. Very useful

Majoring in Engineering is tough, but it’s videos like yours that remind me of the fun in the science and math behind it.

The amount of information in your videos and the practical applicability of it is absolutely beyond anything I have experienced on YouTube and I would like to think I have delved pretty deep in my endeavors...

For me personally this is one of the greatest formats I have had the pleasure of learning from because you spend just the right amount of time on each topic where it's kind of rapid fire but I can comprehend everything clearly in real time so I am able to focus intently without having to think about something and having my mind wander and miss a piece of information...

I like the way your brain works and I truly appreciate the time and effort you are putting into presenting these.

The case for Kristen Gilbert is very interesting. My student and I calculate the probability of 40 deaths in Gilbert's 257 shifts, the probability is 7 in a billion. So yes, those deaths most likely don't happen randomly. This is cool. We need more real world applications of maths and physics in textbooks exercises.

Can you do a video on quantum computing and what majors needed to get into the field?

This video is amazing! I absolutely LOVE seeing math and science applied to every day situations, or at least situations in general, I dunno how every day some of them are. But this love is the whole reason I got interested in engineering and physics. Thanks for taking the time to make this and the other videos on your channel which are just as amazing.

In a Tom Clancy story, the Russians had an extremely stealthy submarine, one that absorbed sound that hit it so sonar couldn't pick it up, and had silent engines. Impossible to find, right? Finally our heroes realized that they could find it by knowing where it WASN'T. There's always background noise that looks like fuzz, so all they had to do was look for a void in the background noise, and there was the submarine. Genius!

Pertaining to the slosh tank at 11:16, it has been determined that with a boat, when the period of a wave matches the oscillation of a boat, the boat capsizes. Wouldn't there be the same effect with a building where the swaying of the building matched the oscillating wind speeds?

I have a physics teacher who was able to use physics in case to prove somebody was speeding. Pretty cool

Regarding traffic jams (and you know, stop lights), watch the brake lights on the car in front of the car in front of you. Then you are reacting to their stimulus, and if everyone did this, it'd cut the effective reaction time.
