If you look at the actual shot, the ball is barely spinning at all. It's basically a knuckleball, which is a great shot, but the movement is random, not always down. If he hit the ball in the way he describes, that would work, but the explanation is off. Hitting from low to high gives topspin, and that is what makes the ball dip. Leaning over it helps keep the ball from floating too high, it doesn't make the ball dip. The shot itself is great, the description just doesn't fit.

Good skills but wrong physics. Top spin does not lift a ball, it causes it to drop. The lift is a result of the angle of impact. For spin to lift, it would be a backspin.
