I recently read Walking with Mary by Dr Edward Sri which was very good. Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist by Dr Brant Pitre was amazing, I can’t recommend it enough. I’m currently reading Hail Holy Queen by Dr Scott Hahn an so far it’s really good.

Hi Deena, these are great recommendations and I am looking forward to getting some of those books (I do have to finish the ones I have here at home first... slow reader here ☹️)
I can identify to what you said at the beginning about our Lady... but for me it was worst... I had this horrible rejection towards her, I was jealous of her (terrible, I know) and always felt guilty, I did not want to feel this way but I was always falling in that spiral.... I knew it was wrong, not only and most importantly because she is the Mother of our Lord but also because my mum loves her soooo much and taught us that. I struggled many years until two years ago I did the spiritual exercises of st. Ignacio (don’t know in English 😋)...
I offered the exercises for this and when I got to the part of Mary, I finally understood why I was like this towards her... she was everything I wanted to be but had managed to auto sabotage myself most of the time.
I went to confession, cried a lot and prayed a lot and after I finished the exercises, this feeling was finally gone. I cannot even explain the joy I had... I knew she loved me and wanted to bring me closer to Jesús... she has been my Mother and comfort ever since 🤗

I also struggle with focus during the recitation of the rosary. Things that help me are looking at pictures, praying a scriptural rosary, and specific prayer intentions for each Hail Mary. The scriptural rosary gives a meditation for each Hail Mary not just the entire decade. For each Hail Mary I will insert my intention after I say pray for. Example: Instead of saying "Pray for us sinners", I will say, " Pray for (insert someone's name or cause such as an end to abortion or the homeless and then I would conclude by saying now and at the hour of her/his/their death.)

What a lovely and relaxing video (the way you present)! I appreciate your channel so much, I've just discovered a whole new world with catholic womens channels! it's been missing in my life. I found this enlightening, and your comments section on the discussion of Mary. I've always loved Mary wholeheartedly and without question, I feel like perhaps that is a gift because nothing has ever entered my head otherwise. I need our Lady greatly! My earthly mother and I do not get along :( generational demons; I need my blessed mother to guide me and to intercede for me so I can walk the path of forgiving my earthy mother! Mother Mary pray for me 📿📿📿🙏📿🙏📿
