Love your collection! There’s a book place in Pittsburgh called Sacred Heart of Jesus that has tons of old books, from the 1920’s to today.

Wow - what a collection. My personal favourite and perhaps the beginning of my conversion was Brother Lawrence's book. I have two physical copies and 2 on kindle. Thomas Merton's Seven Story Mountain was also hugely important in my life but his Eastern leaning put me off. At the moment I'm reading the journey of 5 young men who are entering the Carthusian charterhouse in England - fascinating.

Im a little bit jealous, because i live in Germany and most good books about catholicism nowadays are written in english and i can only buy them via internet and there are almost no second hand options 😅 on the plus side i can read most of pope benedicts/joseph Ratzingers work in the original german.
Fun fact: i love the work of joseph Pieper but many of his books are out of print in German so i only have two options: either go from second hand bookstore to second hand bookstore and hope to find an affordable old copy or buy the english translation 😂

Hi Brian, I'm only just now seeing this video, and I absolutely loved it. I wish I had such an extensive home library. I do have one question though, as a non Catholic at the moment, but maybe changing that, I notice you have Louise L. Hay, You Can Heal Your Life. I've also had this one since the 1980's, and quite surprised that you call it "heresy and anti-Catholicism". Please, could you possibly help me out with this, explaining why you say this? I've always thought this book, along with books like the Secret, are simply living with more positive thoughts and positive statements or affirmations. After all, God's word even tells us to continue to dwell on righteous and praiseworthy thoughts. I'm genuinely, confused why my Louise Hay book is heresy?

I saw your collection of the navarre Bible I've heard about this collection, do you highly recommend it and why, dose it have all of the Magisterium and traditional catholic interpretation of the Scriptures, I would like to invest in something like that, would you say that this is a complete authority on Scripture commentary or will I still need to purchase something else?
