This single tip has improved my weaving so much, more than anything else. I really enjoy your videos, you do a great job of explaining everything. I am going through and watching all your videos.

I jumped into my first weaving without doing much research and here I am, 9 inches tall into a 12" wide warp and it's shrunken to only 9" wide and only then I found your channel and this tutorial! 😩 I'll probably just start over at this point and use it as my practice piece, but better late than never I guess? Thanks for the videos!!

Thanks Jenell, Great tips. I'm a new weaver and just loving it. This should help me improve a lot! One challenge I have that might be a good tutorial is, my yarn gets twisted sometimes and then my weft doesn't always look the same size. Also, sometimes the yarn will untwist and become too loose. Thanks for all your great instructions!

It’s funny, I had already picked up a lot of your weaving habits like holding the outside warp string when you bring the weft all the way through, just from watching your other videos. Just finished my first weaving aah! Thanks for the all the helpful videos! Definitely saved me a few times.

Hi Jenell, hope you & Cody are both OK.
Thanks for thus tutorial. Sometimes its good to have a reminder about pulling the warp strings in.
Then other things in general.

Take care, stay safe.
Happy Weaving.
Lots of love to you both.

Super helpful. I have a rigid-heddle loom and when weaving my first batch of tea towels there is quite a bit of "draw-in" (if that's the term). Your vid has helped me loosen up! Greetings from Washington state!

if the frame width is 30 or + inches would using a heddle help keep the arch or eliminating the arch with a heddle make keeping the edges straighter, the weave better and easier? I'm trying to learn how to weave linen, cotton and wool threads for cloth/fabric to make clothes etc. I learned how to use both manual and electric sewing machines for making things. But now am watching different videos going back to pre-industrial times (well maybe not too far; that animal skins are worn only) of hand making anything I may need. Well maybe not grow flax and do the steps prior to having thread on a spool but have the knowledge of how to if a spool of thread, yarn skein not available. So, if a frame loom can do as much as a Rigid type of loom that was used? BC-19th century that homes had the space for the floor sized looms, I like the idea of the simple, space saving frame loom I found videos to watch. So, back to the idea of using a heddle on the frame loom: helpful with different sizes of threads, but not with yarns?
