How To Grow Your Kid

The Bible says that we should "train up our children in the way that they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it." What does this mean and how do we put this into practice with kids? When you start to train your children in the daily, mundane acts of life, they'll begin to trust you and you can then start to bring spiritual lessons to them. Learn how to "grow your kid" so that they will never be confused about who they are and who God is.

I was too young when I had my child. I was uneducated in how to raise one and still had some growing of myself and made too many mistakes in her upbringing that I regret and now we are both paying the price. She is 22, lives out of state, very little communication between us, she an atheist and I a Christian. Please pray she gets Godly people in her life, and she finds her salvation.
Great lesson Jack, many people need to hear this.

This is so freaking timely. As a mother of 6, I’ve been literally considering giving up and falling on my sword. Please please please pray for me. They’re ages 1.5 - almost 14.

God gave me no children. I was with child twice but God decided he wanted them with him.
They could not be in a better place or with a better Person. Jesus is a person. Amen.

Very nicely explained, pastor Jack. We are their first teachers, it should never be left to the public school system. Just as the bible teaches us as adults, the lessons are meant for all to understand at any age. Establishing God's word early on gives children an understanding and a peace within that can be gotten no other way. 🙏😊

What we teach our children will determine what they will believe, and what they believe will determine how they will live.

I lived a pretty disastrous life without a father only to realize that I thought many times over that God did, or will, abandon me. It was all a lie. But the testimony is what is important, as to how He was ALWAYS there for me..

Thank you Pastor Jack! I’m currently living with my daughter and her family. She’s a baby believer, but her husband is a nonbeliever. They’re both scientists, and the worldview in this house is evolution and God does not exist, his two children (shared custody situation, ) have no concept of God. I’m just trying to shine the Lord’s light because God is so unwelcome here. I’m praying constantly for God to invade this house with His Spirit. He is their only hope. There’s no discipline when the children are here. I had never met any of them until early July. I’m in prayer always because I was raised with responsibilities around the house. I am 100% depending on the Lord to guide me. My soul is tried being surrounded by the godlessness. My daughter believes but is so busy she has no time for the Lord. She knows the times we’re in because I share the truth. But she doesn’t believe me, and wants the things of the world. Please pray for this family, and my guidance from the Lord. Thank you. God bless you family. 💝🕯️💝🙏💝

I do try. Help me, Lord. An old grandma here. Lots of pride in my family, now, and when I was growing up. Lots of time on my knees and grieving.

Can tell all of you guys how awesome God is😂😂 I was having a conversation with my teenager, telling her that we have to walk in the way of the Lord and not be in the world and of the world…. Translation to her blah blah, blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah…. I felt a nudge to turn on the radio and stop talking… and as soon as the radio comes on, a man is speaking saying are you of God or are you of this world? He went on to quote a pastor… all I could do was cry and thank God.. I feel so pressured and worried to try to guide and lead my daughter the right way.. but he lets me know that he is in control and that he will also speak to her.. Lord my God you are awesome… Did my daughter receive it I don’t know. All I do know is she wanted to get out of the car faster than she ever had before?😂😂

Oh my word. This is what I try to convey to my now adult children!!! Oi vey!! Hitting 70 years old, I was always that tomboy who loved Roy Rogers and high adventure. I loved blue jeans and dresses equally but loved horses over Barbies all day long! Ended up following family into LEO for a bit then worked grade foreman in dirt (in construction) before kids. So much more adventure in my life brought the vivid stories to my all kids upbringing. I was saved just before having my family, so the kids and I grew up together in the Lord as I didn't get saved until I was 27. But then, I didn't quite fit the mold in church sometimes but among the sinners I could relate and tell them the wonderful story of Christ. Jack, you have lifted that heavy lid that has depressed me for years. I have a grin on my face and feel like a hobbit riding back into the shire when all is said and done. Praise be to God!!

My Son likes to work out he is 16 and he eats like a horse so he wanted to eat more Beef and chicken so I said Mom makes dinner if you want something extra start grilling so he did turns out this young man has natural cooking skills honestly now he is making dinner 3 times a week amazing young man he doesn’t want to go to chef school but it will help him in life and what future Bride wouldn’t want to marry a Guy that can cook, I know my wife loves it when I make my specialties P.S every boy or girl will be different my Son and eldest daughter are both car nuts like Dad middle daughter she loves being a Mom, Son loves fitness like his Dad, Mom and daughters wouldn’t visit a gym if it was the last refuge LoL just like I taught my son to be mentally and physically strong it was important to instill that in my daughters so that if need be they can be self reliant main thing is tell them that you Love them often you don’t always have to like them, and that respect is earned instill good morals and values and to trust Jesus with all of their heart and that even though Mom and Dad might not be around forever Jesus will. It’s great it’s Horrible it’s terrifying it’s a Blessing it’s Life and it’s Beautiful. Never stop Praying… God Bless All

Thanks Jack all sound common sense but sadly the latest generation don’t want to discipline they puff balls. I am 65 and from Africa where I had a wooden spoon and it didn’t take long for them to learn by the tone of my voice. Today the fathers need to step up and be the head of the family too and read the Bible to the family which would make a difference I feel too. Kids now have too many electronic gadgets that they HAVE to have which is rubbish. God bless your ministry in Jesus Name Amen 🙏✝️

Mother of 3 sons here. Stayed home to raise them. Sacrifices were made but we were happy. Home cooked meals every day. And imagination is a great thing. Teach your children about God!
