Grow your own avocado plant from seed! #plants

First, get an avacado pit, put it in a bowl of hot water for 1 hour. Then, take it out and peel the outer skin off. Get a papertowel and wet it, then squeeze the excess water. Put the pit in the papertowel like a ball, then put it in a ziplock bag and place it somewhere warm and dark. In a few weeks, take it out and there will be roots! Put it in dirt, when it grows and gets leaves, cut them and wait for them to grlw back.

I have so many questions 😶 How soon plant grown like this can produce avocados? What is the dish you used at the bottom of seed? How roots got so secure? How long does it take for seed to sprout?

Fun fact, avacados grow SLOWER in water than they do in soil. I recommend putting the pit into the napkin to make it sprout, then put the seed into soil and keep it moist. Water it every day, and water OVER the seed. Let the top of the seed stick out of the soil a little bit. Wait a bit and then before you know it a stem will sprout up :) happy growing yall!

My avo is 3 month old, it has only 3 medium size leaves and very few roots compare to ur avocado. I’ve planted it a couple of weeks ago and I feel that it stopped growing. Should I take it out of soils and put it back to water ?

I love growing avocado 🥑 and so far what I have found out about the is that if you take five avocados and put them in water 💦 and another five avocados and put them in dirt the ones only like 2 of them will actually grow and when they do they will grow very quickly and good and the ones in dirt they are all more likely to grow not as fast good as well!!

Was the avocado cut like that so the root could easily grow inside? I sometimes get a bag of avocados from the grocery store and get mad because there are little roots inside

A sad story for me is that I planted an avocado seed after looking at this video but unfortunately I went on a trip over seas to Asia and came back in 3 months and it was no more😢

I have a tree now, it used to be very small…it’s going into a pot in the yard. Hopefully it does okay. 🙏🏻
