UPDATE: there is an issue with Final Cut Pro X and the 2020 Macbook Pro 10th Gen, I am in talks with Apple so I will say if you are looking for a MacBook Pro for Final Cut Pro, please avoid the £1800 model until they have fixed the issue, I will do an update once they have addressed this. Please comment below if you have had any issues, I need to know.

I am an ex-PC user who bought a mid 2012 MacBook Pro fairly cheaply just to see if I could make the switch to Mac without spending a ton of money. The laptop I found for about $300 American and for an additional $200 I maxed out the ram and installed a 500gb SSD. This old MacBook Pro performed so much better than I expected and I ended out not wanting to upgrade it. 2 years later and it’s still running solid but the display is showing it’s age. Thankfully, now that the Butterfly keyboard is no longer an issue, I decided to pull the trigger and buy brand new. You video was very helpful in choosing which version as initially I was considering the base model with enough upgrades to make it more expensive than the more expensive 10th gen with the same ram and storage that I wanted... saving me over $100 in the end for the better processor. Thank you for helping me make a more informed decision!

They said the same stuff about last years keyboard being better. Personally I love my current keyboard on my 2019, and I do not see any reason to upgrade over a keyboard. I also have a higher clocked processor at 2.4 ghz so I feel very happy I got mine last year and not this year.

I bought a MacBook Pro 2019, 2 Thunderbolt ports, I use the computer for Auto CAD and for the university, I got the laptop new for 999 euros (exhibit), is it worth it to invest in a MacBook Pro 2020 for 1200 euros with the better one Magic Keyboard? I want to benefit from this investment for as long as possible, so stay with the 2019 model or upgrade in the 2020 model (not the M1 chip)
