Off all the various Choral interpretations I was utterly lucky to get this in my feed. By FAR the best ever performance; period instruments are irreplaceable.

Great to hear it on a forte piano, but It just goes to show how ahead of his time Beethoven was that his music is most suitable for modern instruments

This work is sort of an idyll, like a birds eye view of Creation, portraying chaos, nature of Eden, then humans with idealized grace and nativity. Like Elizabethan poetry, found in Spenser, early Shakespeare and even early Milton, it beguiles with it's limpid, spring- like freshness and "delighting in diversities".

So this is precisely what Beethoven sounded like in his time

What is Beethoven's worst composition? This one, Wellingtons Sieg, the Double Concerto, first piano sonata, Christus am Ölberge, etc?

Wow. Awful. Couldn't listen past 2 minutes. This pianist insists on making hinself more important than the music. Momentum is constantly stifled with this pianists counterproductive rubato.
