My heart is full!! Just seeing Seiji Ozawa (now much older as I, too, am - I saw him in his prime when he was the conductor of the San Francisco Symphony) walk out arm in arm with the great Martha Argerich now, too, much older, brought tears to my eyes! How wonderful to see these two together bringing Beethoven's wonderful Choral Fantasy to life!!!

Martha Argerich and Sejii Ozawa have lost nothing of the virtuosity and vigour that always characterized their innumerable performances throughout the years. So glad this particular performance is available also on dvd!

I have never heard this work before - and I am 65 years old!! what a great pity it took so long. It has today changed my life. Magnificent. Inspirational. At a time when South Africa is facing COVID-19. We shall overcome it. Thanks to Herr Ludwig van Beethoven, Seiji Ozawa, Martha Argerich and the Saito Kinen Orchestra and Chorus.
