I have no idea why this piece isn't played more often. It is such a joy to play and listen to. I love it! I would love to meet Beethoven, but I feel like I already know him because he threw all of himself into his music, even when he could no longer physically hear it. Absolutely incredible!

J'ai reçu pour un anniversaire d'enfance une cassette de cette fantaisie et vingt-ans plus tard je l'écoute encore dans toutes ses versions disponibles. I really, really enjoyed this performance. It is refreshing to see young people performing and enjoying a work by Beethoven. At times, I think this musical genre is dying so I found this encouraging. Also, a great performance by Mr. Dupree who obviously was enjoying the music. I especially like the part where he appeared sing "und kraft" at point in the piece where the chorus emphasizes this.

By the way I just watched Frank Dupree's performance of Tchaikovsky's piano concerto when he was 13--very impressive!
