Almost everyone I know near this age is struggling to pay for the help they need for these common problems of people at this stage of life. Bernie is correct. Many disabled and elderly Americans are living so far below the poverty line, they can’t even see it. Social Security must be improved to raise these people out of severe poverty. It is inhumane how this country treats the disabled and the elderly.

This guy has held the same political views on universal healthcare and protecting the working class for at least 60 years straight. Unwavering in the wild swings of the political climate. Even if you don't agree with it all, you have to admire his tenacity.

My husband had a 10 hour emergency surgery last December, we have insurance through work but can’t pay the rest we still have 25000 dollar bill after insurance because he was in the hospital for almost a month after surgery. We have claim bankruptcy. We need better healthcare in this country
