Honestly, Inhoff, the guy who threw a snowball at Obama to "prove" global warming doesn't exist is a manchild. I can't understand for the live of me how Bernie manages to look past all that. Im late here I know...But I'd just like to say that although important and graceful of Bernie it's only possible because for him and his opponent politics is about ideas and not realities. A person living on some small pacific territory threatened by rising sea levels probably wouldn't be able to be friends with someone denying that reality. A businessman supplying parts for the coal mining industry probably would have a hard time being friends with someone actively destroying their livelihood.

Now if politics could find a way to transcend from the representative form to something else then it might work. But then there is a grave risk that those friends in politics start representing themselves as they gain more power and stop representing us. So it's not that easy but I am still glad that Bernie has friends with different opinions than himself! Same with Dennis K and Ron P who are friends.
