As a former Soldier I believe war should be the last choice in the American arsenal. Diplomacy should be the first choice, a normalization of diplomatic relations may give the current leader of N. Korea a way to save face and ultimately bring good good political change and prosperity. I pray the leadership of all countries can work together and create an equitable deal between the two Koreas. It's a surreal dichotomy the way both Koreas have turned out. A unified Korea will benefit all Koreans, especially the North. It could be like the Berline wall of Korea.

Obviously, you meet with people you disagree with to have discussions. It's diplomacy. We're much safer having N Korea in the room talking than leaving them isolated and feeling threatened. Trump being cozy with Kim is for purely anti-Obama reasons, but thank god, cause it makes us safer to have communications with potentially hostile countries.

these are standard policies for sure. Not advocating for intervention, but also reassuring our commitment to our allies is an excellent approach to foreign policy. Bernie for the win 2020
