Some of the best eats at a KCBS event are the burnt ends. Could eat those all day!

They have such a great community even though they compete with one another it's all respect and having a good time.

I found out there are a lot of different ways people do Burnt Ends... you're right... it's usually the point end and seems like cookers vary on the type and amount of sauce. I love sweet/sticky burnt ends personally,

Is the burnt ends the most flavorful of the brisket or is it the flat part?

Cool to see a guy with japanese heritage crushing barbecue competitions. That's America for ya.

It's called Free Roaming Chicken and it's an instumental piece a friend Eddie Bush composed and lets us use. Check out his music at url/ site in credits

Very nice video. Do more people prefer mustard or tomato based sauce?

The burnt ends usually come from the point - it's fattier than the flat - and thus more succulent.

Man I didn't see one single burnt end in this video. A burnt end is a delicacy on brisket from the point side that renders really well and has alot of flavor. A flat or point soaked in BBQ sauce or beef stock is not a burnt end! Come to Texas, we'll fix ya up

That's for pork shoulder only.

I thought in a KCBS contest, you cannot cook your meat, remove it from the smoker, cut it, then put it back on the smoker. Am I wrong?

I'd never do burnt ends from a flat. Can't be good.

4:35  idiot using the dry end of the flat for burnt ends. LOL Moron. Burnt ends come from the point. That looked like beef jerky and hardly edible no matter what you do to it.
