Paper Mario: TTYD - Mario Paint Strategy Walkthrough (for Shadow Queen boss battle)

As promised, here's my live commentary video detailing the "Mario Paint" strategy against Shadow Queen. This strategy is definitely the most optimal strategy for a Level Zero run, but don't think it's easy because of it. This boss is still super-hard. If you need more of a buffer because you're not comfortable superguarding, go for more Boo's Sheets. If you're worried about her healing, bring an extra Trial Stew.

I very much loved this guide and strategy. Nice info, planning and options explaining how to approach it. This defiantly helps for anytime I want to do this type of run, I might plan one for future sake. I'm also keeping this mind for my 10 HP Double Damage run I plan on doing soon so this bit of info is worth it all.

I also liked how you explained Veil's only real usage here. Since it does make sense to avoid a non super guard move for one you can (even though the option can lead to a "hit or miss" outcome) still I find it more reliable here compared to other times where risking a Superguard or Boo Sheet can be a more efficient substitute. (Since you can already do both to avoid full damage anyway)

I've been taking a lot of notes on TTYD and 64. So I'll be sure to jot down some tips from this video as well. POWER TO THE PAPER MARIO EXPERTS! (lol) I'm confident enough to try this run.(Though I'm doing a upgraded partner run before I decide to go to no stat level ups at all)

About Shadow Queen's Healing, yeah I had the same thoughts in mind when I did a "No Damage" sweep against her the last time I play, I managed to super guard her healing move (it's sort of a visual cue) however the timing can work against ya.

Damn talking about pro tips is so fun. haha (I actually manage to Superguard the Shadow Wave, even though I sometimes only get it right)

Power Lift, Showstopper and Art Attack are the best Crystal Star Powers. XD Fun fact: Showstopper is the only power that can 1 Hit KO Bowser in the Bowser & Kammy fight. lol He's actually weak to it. XD
