Man, the writing in this game is just HEAVENLY for a Nintendo game. There’s thinly-veiled violence that just can’t bring itself to say “kill”, fourth wall breaks, the whole feet-sniffing thing, the dialogue between Vivian and her sisters is actually incredibly brutal, and stuff like when the ravens talk to each other is just hilarious. Not to mention the “shaking what my momma gave me” line

Actually, I'm slightly disappointed by one thing: The remake cut out an extra line of dialogue where Hooktail -admitted- claimed that people paid her money for this exact "privilege."

Unironically, this is kinda canon. There is a trouble you can take in the game where all the old mayors are in a club together and, due to their age, need you to be their courier between the towns.

This game reminds me of the time when I was a kid, I saw an ad on a website that said "get a free copy of Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door!" and it was one of those survey sites that had more surveys nested inside with "free trials" in each one. I filled out EVERY SINGLE ONE and got to the end and entered my home address to get the game copy. It's been 20 years. I did everything they asked. I never got it.

RT's playthroughs are always either super wholesome or an absolute riot, and you can usually tell from the first twenty seconds or so which one it'll be.

I'm honestly really impressed by Dan's ability to hit those superjumps so consistently, with the 4th jump always being a frame-perfect input. For someone with absolutely no rhythm, he's pretty good at timing them.
